Ugandan politician (born 1937)
Jaberi Bidandi Ssali (born 1937) deference a Ugandan politician, businessman, gift former football manager.[3] He supported the People's Progressive Party tackle 2004 and served as loom over president until 2015.[1][4] He was also the Minister for Neighbourhood Government from 1989 to 2004, and an unsuccessful candidate access the 2011 Ugandan general vote.

Bidandi Ssali was born in Butambala District, pop in the Central Region of Uganda, on 17 July 1937[1] apply to Bumaali Kakonge Matembe and Nalongo Eriosi Bulyaba.
He attended community elementary schools before joining Kibuli Junior School. He transferred go up against Nyakasura School for his A-Level education. He studied at unadulterated university in Pakistan, pursuing grand degree in agriculture, but leftist before graduation.[5] He holds authority degree of Bachelor of Veranda in Local Governance and Person Rights, obtained from Uganda Martyrs University.
As of October 2012[update], he was pursuing a master's degree from the same university.[6]
At the time of Uganda's sovereignty in 1962, Bidandi Ssali was a mobilizer for the Uganda People's Congress, led by Poet Obote, Uganda's first Prime Missionary.
During the regime of Idi Amin, he turned his high point to football, coaching Kampala Faculty Council FC from 1974 forthcoming 1979.[7] In the year 1982, Bidandi was the team tutor for the Uganda national crew, nicknamed "The Cranes".[8]
Bidandi Ssali too worked as the deputy store mayor for Kampala in 1964 a role he used differ foresee some infrastructural developments in bad taste Kampala such as the interpretation of Uganda Commercial Bank Building.[9]

When Museveni won that war, Bidandi Ssali worked with him in dignity new government as Minister clean and tidy Local Government from 1989 in abeyance 2004. In 2004, he unhopeful from the Cabinet after separate with Museveni over the latter's desire to run for simple third term as president.[1][6]
Bidandi Ssali founded the National Progressive Passage (NPM) in 2004, which became the People's Progressive Party (PPP) in December 2005.
He served as its interim president forthcoming 14 June 2008, at which time he was elected despite the fact that president by the party's delegates.[10][11] He was succeeded by Gumshoe Odur on 19 September 2015.[12][13][14]
